At my school our Open House has a multicultural theme. Each class studies a different country and kids walk around with "passports" to get their stamps in each country. They turn them in for a free dress day.
The 8th graders studied Ireland. We offered green food and funny looking shamrocks hanging from the ceiling along with our science projects, historical figure projects, and Civil War studies.
At least my classroom looks festive. I've finally gotten used to being across the street from the main campus in our little corner of the world. It's kind of cozy over here!
