Be a Man

After school today Evan was in my classroom for a bit. He was "reading" books, taking notes on paper, and acting all grown up. I told him just that.

He told me he had to do this stuff so he could get to school. I said, "You made it. You're in school."

Then he told me that he had to do this stuff to be a man! I asked him what he meant.

"I have to read and get a job so I can be a man," he said.

What a difference between PreK and Kindergarten! My little man!
